The Translator-Interpreter Program (TIP) of the Cornell Public Service Center trains bilingual and multilingual Cornell students to serve as volunteer translators/interpreters for community agencies in emergency and non-emergency situations. Certified by Cornell language faculty members, our TIP translators and interpreters have been serving over 300 community agencies in Tompkins County and surrounding areas since 2000. To become a certified volunteer translator and/or interpreter, you must attend one of our Volunteer Training Sessions. Our upcoming sessions are on October 28th and November 15th from 5-6:30 PM in Kennedy 213. During the session, we will provide you more information about our program and how you can get certified by Cornell language professors.
