Assistant Professor Austin Bunn will talk about his film Kill Your Darlings and its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. The film tells the story of a group of writers in the 1950's known as the "beat generation." The movie focuses on the murder of David Kammerer by Lucien Carr, a key member of the original beat circle. Austin co-wrote this film and is also an assistant professor in the Department of Performing and Media Arts who teaches dramatic writing and screenwriting.
Besides finding out what swag comes in an official Sundance gift bag, Austin will share his experience of the film festival craziness, play clips and dailies from his film and answer any questions you might have about screenwriting, getting a movie made, or managing the celebrity circuit of Sundance.
