AD White House, Guerlac Room
The East Asia Program and Media Studies are hosting Professor Michael Hunter of Yale University to give a talk on his new platform for Chinese studies and digital humanities.
Supported by the Mellon Foundation and Yale University, the Ten Thousand Rooms Project is an online, open-access workspace that enables collaborative work (transcriptions, translations, annotations, etc.) on pre-modern texts and objects. In this talk, Prof. Hunter will introduce the platform and discuss its place within the East Asian digital humanities scene and the emerging International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) community. Students and faculty interested in participating in the project are especially encouraged to attend.
