Jean Kachiga is Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Studies at SUNY Brockport. He has a Ph.D. in International Relations and an M.A. in Political Science, both from the University of Frankfurt. His research is on understanding international relations through the dynamics of history. He teaches International Relations, International Political Economy, and comparative politics, with Africa as a regional specialization. He is the author of China in Africa: Articulating China’s Policy in Africa (Africa World Press 2013) and Global Liberalism and Its Casualties (Rowan and Littlefield 2008).
