The Florida Project

Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 9:35pm to 11:26pm

Willard Straight Theatre
Central Campus

2017 > USA > Directed by Sean Baker
With Willem Dafoe, Brooklynn Prince, Bria Vinaite, Caleb Landry Jones Tangerine director Sean Baker returns with an equally tender and despondent story about childlike wonder and adult desperation. Young Moonee explores her home, the Magic Castle motel, while her mother Halley tries, and often fails, to make ends meet. At the same time, motel manager Bobby watches over Moonee and her friends, hoping to set them on the right path without crushing their optimistic spirits. Dafoe was awarded Best Supporting Actor by both the NY and LA Film Critics Associations, and Sean Baker was named Best Director by the NY Film Critics. More at A24films.com/films/the-florida-project
