Soup & Hope with Bill Alberta

Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Sage Chapel
Central Campus

The 12th annual winter series of stories to nourish a spirit of hope!

Bill has a Cornell degree and worked in CU student services, mainly as a counselor, for thirty years. His talk will focus on a program to help area children in great need. He will describe how a few people with $150 bought clothing and toys for kids in one school and how the program has grown to where several thousand people now help more than 1,000 children in 40 schools and provide approximately $160,000 in new clothing, toys, backpacks and warm blankets each year.

Over the past 11 years, more than 50 speakers—encompassing a wide range of Cornell staff, faculty, students, alumni and community members—have touched, inspired and motivated Cornell and local community members who gather to listen to them, reflect on their life stories and be nourished by hot soup and rolls provided free of charge by Cornell Dining.

Mark your calendars; bring a friend.
