Science on Tap: What’s in your gut?

Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Northstar House, Casita Del Polaris 1201 N Tioga St, Ithaca, NY 14850

Graduate Women in Science present "Science on Tap"! Aimed to make science accessible and exciting to everyone, we will bring a diverse set of speakers studying a range of research topics from Cornell into the community who will strive to present their research in an authentic but also engaging and understandable way.

So, come grab a drink, sit back, relax and join us this month for:

“What’s in your gut? From health impacts to innovative therapeutics”

Prof Ilana Brito will get real about what’s in our guts by exploring the impact of our microbiomes on our health and how her group is aiming to develop alternatives to broad range antibiotics. Dr. Brito also clue us in about those mysterious fecal transplants we keep hearing about!

Excellent! Very engaging. Professor Brito did a wonderful job answering questions and tailoring the conversation to non-science persons.
