What is better than a day off from school? How about spending the whole day in the great outdoors with the most fun nature educators around! Gather and prepare wild foods! Learn how to build fires and craft tools! Practice the skills of wilderness living and true survival! The forest is our classroom, our playground, our home and our sanctuary from the routines of the day to day. When school is closed we offer a chance for kids to learn skills that have been passed down through the ages. Considered to be building blocks of human development, these skills survive for the very reason that they continue inspire confidence in oneself, deep connections to nature and an awareness and respect for others.

Fall is the season of the harvest and the season of the hunter, so come live it! Eat your vegetables the old fashioned way - gathered from the wild! Learn how to process harvested foods. Practice your stealth while playing games of the predators that walk our landscape. Hide in the shadows, or in the shelter you built from sticks and leaves. These are experiences that last a lifetime and are not to be missed!
