Finding a job or internship is one thing, building your practice is another.
Learn the difference and hear how it's done as Department of Architecture Assistant Professor Leslie Lok speaks with Sandra Barclay, 2019 recipient of the Norman R. Foster Visiting Professor of Architectural Design at Yale University and cofounder of Barclay and Crousse in Lima, Peru.
Barclay's studio manages a wide range of programs on a transcontinental basis, exploring the bonds between landscape, climate, and architecture. She studied architecture at Universidad Rocardo Palma in Lima and received her master of landscape and territory from the Universidad Diego Portales, Chile. Barclay currently teaches at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and has previously taught at the Paris-La Villette School of Architecture. She has been recognized with numerous honors and awards, including the Women Architect of the Year prize from the Architects' Journal and Architectural Review and fellowships from both the American Institute of Architects and the Fulbright Foundation.
