The History of Engineers and Antibiotics: An Odd Combination

All drugs are made up of molecules, but turning a perfectly designed molecule into an effective medicine is no easy feat. In this talk, I will discuss the history of antibiotics and the role of chemical engineers, new therapeutic modalities, and the scientific challenges that lie ahead.
