In the late 1950s Robert Richenburg was at the height of his fame as a painter of the New York School, exhibiting most famously alongside Pollock and de Kooning. A gifted and encouraging teacher, Richenburg taught at the Pratt Institute before moving his family to Ithaca in 1964, where he taught and worked for the remainder of his career, first at Cornell and later at Ithaca College. The exhibition includes paintings, works on paper, and sculpture from the 1940s to the late ’60s and is held in memory of David Findlay, Jr. (1933–2015), Class of 1956.
