IP-CALS Seminar Series: Responsible Silk?

Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 12:20pm to 1:10pm

Emerson Hall, 135

Luna H. Lee is a Global Development graduate from Cornell. She now is with EILEEN FISHER clothing company.

As Human Rights Leader and a member of the Social Consciousness Team for women’s clothing company EILEEN FISHER, Luna facilitates the company’s human rights work for its supply chain. In her role, Luna engages internal teams in order to integrate conscious business practices into daily operations. She has launched innovative programs such as a cellphone survey of workers, brought trainings on human trafficking and ethical trade to company employees and held a worker video contest in China factories. Luna represents the company at the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, Social Accountability International Advisory Board, and the Nest Artisanal Steering Committee. She came to EILEEN FISHER with extensive volunteer background with the women’s movement. Originally from Malaysia, Luna can speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay, and English. She recently finished her graduate studies in international agriculture and rural development from Cornell University, and hopes to expand the work upstream to the raw material supply chains.
