Discover how to use the research skills you’ve developed to evaluate your teaching in Dr. Beichner’s interactive workshop. Through group activities, participants will explore how to conduct research on teaching, and analyze and publish the results. Participants will further discuss ways to become classroom innovators and expand current knowledge on student learning.

About the Speaker: Dr. Beichner is a Distinguished Professor of Physics at North Carolina State University where he has created the widely adopted SCALE-UP (Student-Centered Active Learning Environment and Upside-down Pedagogies) project as well as the NSF-funded video-based lab approach for physics classrooms that is used in over 10,000 classrooms.
