Publishing in a Networked Era: Open Access and Open Data

Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 1:00pm to 2:00pm

Olin Library, Room 106G
Olin Library, Ithaca, NY 14850, USA

How does Open Access affect the research and publishing process? What are the pros and cons of Open Access?

Join us for an informal discussion and Q&A session to explore the current scholarly communication trends and the emerging federal and state mandates for making the results of funded-research outcomes, such as peer reviewed papers and data, openly available to public.

This will be an informal opportunity to discuss current issues and trends around open access, including publishing, institutional repositories, legislation, and author rights.
