Preserving Sage Chapel: An Architectural Tour

Friday, June 6, 2014 at 9:30am to 10:30am

Sage Chapel
Central Campus

Sage Chapel is close to the hearts of many Cornellians and an essential element of the fabric of our campus.  First dedicated in 1875, preserving this historic treasure will require careful attention in the coming years.  As a new project begins to restore and renovate the apse window and the roof of the Memorial Chapel, join us for an up-close look at the current project and the building overall, from a structural and architectural point of view.

Speakers will include:
* Andrew Germain, Structural Engineer, Facilities Services
* Ken Clarke, Director, Cornell United Religious Work (CURW)
* Kent Hubbell, Robert W. and Elizabeth C. Staley Dean of Students and Professor of Architecture
