Finding Your Aha! Moment: Learning to Create the Volunteer Fit Perfect for You
No matter where you are in your career or whether you’ve begun thinking about retirement yet, it’s never too early to explore the possibilities of what life can offer, especially when volunteering.
Whether seeking an ongoing opportunity in town; a seasonal stint at a national park or several months with an international non-profit organization, you will learn in this workshop how to proactively and creatively tap into retirement service opportunities that are right up your alley.
Seasoned speaker Barbara Lang, known for her humorous and insightful workshops, provides a systematic way (packed with references and resources for following up) to discover that "aha" moment, when you can actually envision and start to plan for post-retirement volunteer experiences – perhaps even adventures -- that promises to be not only fulfilling but possibly life-shifting.
About the Presenter: In 2010, Barbara Lang (founder of The Etiquette Factor www.theetiquettefactor.com) retired from Cornell at 55 and hasn't slowed down yet. Traveling across the country to 10 national parks, sailing around the world to visit 12 countries, and most recently, volunteering four months in Cambodia have provided more "Aha moments" than Barbara ever thought possible.
