Join the NYC Cornellians for a Hurricane Sandy Relief project with New York Cares. Help clean up and restore storm damaged areas with your fellow Cornellians. Watch New York Cares efforts featured on the Ellen Show to see what the day will be like.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Space is limited.

The Rockaways
Transportation IS TENTATIVE AND TO BE CONFIRMED New York Cares provides a bus that leaves from 47 Trinity Place at the corner of Trinity Place and Rector Street.
Supplies: Tools and protective personal equipment (including Tyvek suits, respiratory face masks, work gloves, and safety goggles) will be provided onsite. Volunteers should bring/wear:
• Sturdy, closed-toed shoes (e.g., work or hiking boots)
• Long sleeves and pants made of thick material (e.g., jeans, carpenters, or cargo pants)
• Warm, layered clothing that can get dirty
• An optional change of clothes for the end of the day (don’t forget socks!)
• Lunch and personal water supply
