The joint New York Nut Growers Association and Pennsylvania Nut Growers Association spring meeting will take place on Saturday, April 27, from 9:30 A.M to 3:00 P.M. at the Garden State Diner, 208 Georgetown/Wrightstown Rd., Wrightstown, NJ, 08562, Near the intersection of Georgetown Rd and Wrightstown/ Georgetown Rd., (609) 723 - 5625. We will have several presentations: Black walnut cultivation; The Spotted Lanternfly: What you need to know and how we are fighting the invasion; Growing Pawpaws; and Truffles on hazelnut roots. In the afternoon we will tour the fruit and nut orchard of Ted Daniecki in near-by Jobstown, New Jersey.
Registration is $20.00 per person and includes your choice of lunch. Please send a check or money order, payable to NYNGA, to Jim Darling, NYNGA Registrar, 1300 Spring Street Extension, Groton, NY 13073 - 8711. Indicate your choice of lunch: Cheesesteak, Junior Reuben sandwich, Shrimp salad plate, Cheese omelet, Hamburger, or Vegetable salad with cranberries and walnuts.
