Robert Einhorn is a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution where he focuses on nuclear nonproliferation, arms control, regional security issues, and U.S. nuclear weapons policies.  During his 35 years at the U.S. Department of State, he served as Assistant Secretary for Nonproliferation in the Clinton Administration and Special Advisor to the Secretary of State for Nonproliferation and Arms Control in the Obama Administration.  He was chief negotiator with North Korea on missile issues (1996-2000) and deputy head of the U.S. delegation to the Iran nuclear talks (2009-2013).  He holds a B.A. in Government from Cornell University (1969) and an MPA in International Relations from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School (1971).
