Life Sentence (Inhibited), written and directed by Gloria Majule '17, is part of the Black Box Exploration Series.
Life Sentence (Inhibited) is a family drama that unfolds when Baba Grace is caught for having evaded taxes for six years and is faced with an ultimatum: six years in prison or a fine of 240 million Tzshs. His solution is to marry off his oldest daughter, Grace, to rich lawyer Emmanuel. However, many secrets hide behind the walls of the family and it becomes a game of who can keep their secret the longest before everything falls into utter chaos.
Performances of Life Sentence (Inhibited) will be in the Schwartz Center’s Black Box Theatre April 20 at 7:30 p.m., April 21 at 5:00 p.m., and April 22 at 2:00 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at schwartztickets.com or at the Schwartz Center box office Tuesday–Saturday, 2:30 p.m.–8:00 p.m. The Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts is located at 430 College Avenue in Ithaca.
