Averaged null energy condition and emergence of Einstein gravity in conformal field theory from causality
Abstract: Microcausality is one of the crucial features of Lorentz-invariant, unitary quantum field theories in flat spacetime. For strongly coupled field theories, causality places nontrivial constraints on the spectrum of theory. In this talk, I'll discuss how averaged null energy condition can be proved in conformal field theories as an example of a new infinite family of constraints. I'll also talk about why conformal field theories in four dimension with large N and a large gap should exhibit gravity-like behavior, encoded in the universal form of the stress tensor three-point functions."
