Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 5:15pm

Abby and Howard Milstein Auditorium

Jaret Vadera is a transdisciplinary artist whose work explores how different social, technological, and cognitive processes shape and control the ways that we see the world around and within us. Vadera's paintings, prints, photographs, videos, and installations have been exhibited and screened internationally at venues such as the Queens Museum in New York City; MoMA; the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center in Washington, DC; the Asia Society in New York City; the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto, Ontario; the Bhau Daji Lad Museum in Mumbai, India; and the Maraya Art Centre in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. In parallel, Vadera has worked as a curator and writer on projects that focus on art as a catalyst for social change. Vadera studied in the fine arts mobility program at The Cooper Union, received his undergraduate degree in fine art from the Ontario College of Art and Design University, and his M.F.A. in painting and printmaking from Yale University.

Vadera is an assistant professor of the practice in new media in the Department of Art at AAP.
