IPM Systems for Turf in the Landscape

Thursday, March 23, 2017

Adirondack Regional Conference High Peaks Resort, Lake Placid, NY

With increased public concern regarding the use of pesticides in the landscape, it is vitally important to incorporate all the tools in the turfgrass manager’s toolbox. IPM involves using a variety of management measures to keep pest populations below levels that are economically and aesthetically damaging, without creating a hazard to people or the environment. This presentation will highlight cultural practices that reduce the need for pesticide use while moderating or even preventing problems brought on by pests.
