Whether in the field or in the clinic, handling and training birds of prey requires knowledge of their unique behaviors and habits. Come learn about how diverse raptor species are trained for exhibition and falconry and some important knowledge for interacting with these feathered patients, especially in regard to reducing stress in the clinic. My Harris’ hawk and Gyr x saker falcon hybrid will be present for demonstrating a few techniques and offering the chance to practice some basic handling.
