Historic paper maps offer a wealth of information useful for examining spatial change over time. How do you combine this information in paper format with GIS data layers, or incorporate it into your interactive web map? In this workshop, learn how you can take any paper map, and transform it into a geo-rectified digital layer that you can add to your web mapping or GIS project. We’ll use a workflow of tools including MapWarper, Carto, and MapBox, but the concepts are transferable to many other GIS software and tools.
