One of Atilo’s desires is to transmit the Guaraní culture to his descendants. When this fisherman discovers that his daughter Helena is pregnant, he embarks on a journey to convince her to give birth in Guaraní land. The film follows Atilo’s voyage to Buenos Aires, accompanied by his granddaughter Iara, conveying the different meanings two generations of Paraguayans have of tradition, family bonds, identity and language.
