Goodbye to Language (3D)

Friday, October 6, 2017 at 7:00pm to 8:10pm

Willard Straight Theatre
Central Campus

Ithaca Premiere w/ intro by Andrew Utterson (Screen Studies, IC)

2014 > Switzerland/France > Directed by Jean-Luc Godard
With Helo‹se Godet, Kamel Abdelli
Leave it to an 83-year-old French-Swiss man to reinvent cinema (again), but that's just what Jean-Luc Godard did with his first 3D feature. Godard shakes the very foundation of stereoscopic viewing by allowing the 3D camera's gaze to wander as a chameleon's, giving each eye a completely different composition. A truly cinematic brain teaser, wrapped in Godard's usual feast of montages. Subtitled. More at goodbyetolanguage3d.com
