Get Smart, Get Ready: What Role Will You Play Dealing with Climate Change?

Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 7:00pm to 8:30pm

Relive history as historic Climate Change talks are role-played by area community leaders including President of the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce Jean McPheeters, Cortlan's Mayor Brian Tobin, Ithaca’s Mayor Svante Myrick along with other notable community members taking the hot seat!

Science Cabaret will be MC'd by Marshall Hayes and Deborah Sills.

Marshall Hayes is a research associate in plant pathology and plant biology at Cornell University. He conducts a type of teaching technique called reacting to the past (RTTP).

Deborah Sills is an Environmental Engineer in Cornell's Earth and Atmospheric Sciences.

Science Cabaret is pleased to collaborate with Sustainable Tompkins to present this unique event in anticipation of the first major regional conference on making our communities more climate friendly and climate resilient.

This Science Cabaret will be preceded at 5:30 pm by "Cocktails for the Climate"
The earlier event begins with a pre-Science Cabaret fundraiser for the upcoming Climate Ready Climate Smart conference taking place April 19-21. Join us for cocktails, music by Colleen Kattau and brief comments by Sustainable Tompkins President Gay Nicholson and Assemblywoman Barbara Lifton. All are welcome.
