Friendship through Flowers: Ikebana at Cornell

Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 8:00pm to 9:30pm

Tatkon Center for First-Year Students, 3330

In this 90 minute session for first-year and transfer students, you will learn the basics of ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) and also create your own arrangement while meeting others from the Cornell community. At the end, you will be able to take your work with you to recreate in your own space at home or pay it forward (where you give the arrangement to someone in the Cornell community who has made a difference in your semester thus far). All supplies will be provided. Sponsored by North Campus Faculty Programs and Yogibana. Space is limited. Registration required. Sign-up at https://www.monaanitaolsen.com/yogibana/.
Taught by Mona Anita K. Olsen, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship, Faculty Fellow, Risley Residential College for the Creative and Performing Arts (Yogibana), Cornell SC Johnson College of Business
