Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 3:00pm to 4:30pm
Mann Library, Room 160
As part of Mann Library's week-long celebration of Earth Day and Cornell's Bring a Child to Work Day activities, we'll be screening one of the films that we've recently added to our circulating collection of environmental videos: RIVERBLUE follows international river conservationist, Mark Angelo, as he travels the globe to investigate one of the world's most pollutive industries, fashion. Narrated by clean water supporter Jason Priestley, the groundbreaking documentary examines the destruction of our rivers, its effect on humanity, and the solutions that inspire hope for a sustainable future.
Produced in 2016, this film presents an important introduction to a problem receiving increasing attention in today's fashion and textile industries. It has received numerous recognitions and awards, including the Hollywood International Independent Documentary Award and the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator Positive Impact Award of 2017.
This event is part of Mann Library’s week-long programming in celebration of Earth Day. We also welcome parents and children who are on campus for Cornell's Bring a Child to Work Day events. All ages welcome!
