Join fellow beginning farmers at Stone Barns Center on the evening of Thursday, September 28 to learn about USDA programs for small and beginning farmers. USDA Local and Regional Food Systems Advisor Tricia Kovaks will discuss useful programs, loans and grants and the history of how these resources evolved. NRDC-Pace Law Director Margot Pollans will then shed light on how this historical context is relevant to the farm bill renewal process, and show how you can be involved in shaping and reforming the 2018 farm bill. A panel discussion with the experts will follow.
