Blending world music, modern classical art song, Americana, and avant-garde folk, the Epiphany Project defies easy categorization. Described as “transcendently beautiful” by the Washington Post and “evocative and intelligent” by NPR, the music of the Epiphany Project combines the talents of Emmy Award-winning composer/pianist John Hodian and four-octave vocalist Bet Williams. Hodian’s intricate rhythms and haunting melodies reflect both his Armenian heritage and his formal classical training, as well as his years as a jazz improviser, while Williams mesmerizes audiences as a passionate performer and fearless lyricist.
