This training offers a step-by-step hands on approach for current or future food entrepreneurs for developing a business plan for your food business. It also offers pathways to funding and other support services to help new businesses get off the ground and existing businesses to improve and expand their operations.
The classes will cover: Small Business Basics; Market Analysis & Identifying your Target Customer; Business Structure - Taxes, Permitting, & Licensing; Developing your Marketing Plan & Low Cost Advertising; Credit Scores & Financing; and Writing your Business Plan. There will also be a panel of local food businesses sharing their experiences.
Graduates of the training program may be eligible for low interest loans through the Sullivan County Division of Planning and Community Development. Certain businesses may qualify for forgivable loans of up to 25%.
