Guest Speaker:          Christy Ley, Ph.D.

                                    Management Analyst, US Government Accountability Office

Christy Ley is currently a Management Analyst in the Chief Administrative Office at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), where she develops and advises the Executive Committee and senior leadership on strategic human capital, employee engagement, and organizational development efforts. She also partners with business units and agency-wide stakeholders to enhance talent management and data-driven performance practices. At GAO, Christy has served the U.S. Congress by examining human capital and workforce issues to improve federal government programs and operations, including those related to gender pay equity, succession planning, employment trends, and sexual harassment. Prior to GAO, Christy conducted research and taught undergraduate and graduate students on organizational behavior, diversity, and research methodology as a Research Associate at Harvard Business School, a Teaching Fellow and Advisor at Harvard University, and a Doctoral Fellow in the Inequality and Social Policy Program at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Previously, she worked on legal matters with the Private Equity Partners group at BlackRock, the global investment management company, and the City of New York’s Human Resources Administration. Christy holds a PhD and MA in Sociology from Harvard University, and a BA in Sociology from Cornell University.
