Domestic and Global Energy Resources, Uses and Consequences
After a brief introduction to the Energy Engineering Seminar Series as a College of Engineering course, this presentation will survey world-wide and domestic energy resources and uses as a function of time. The changing role of different fossil fuels and now the entry of nuclear, wind and solar into the mix will be discuss. We will also discuss the inevitability of the continued growth of energy use in the world even if the United States can stabilize its total consumption, and how consequences have to become really dire in the past before the causes were addressed.
