The World, the Day After ... Election 2012

Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 8:00pm to 9:00pm

Bailey Hall
230 Garden Ave, Ithaca, NY 14850

On the heels of the Oct. 22 presidential debate on foreign policy, join us for a dynamic discussion by distinguished fellow Cornellians and former national security advisors, Samuel R. Berger '67, who served under former President Bill Clinton (1997-2001), and Stephen J. Hadley '69, who served under former President George W. Bush (2005-2009). They will share their insights into the realities confronting a new president the day after election and how these realities shape the early days of an administration. Borrowing from the original format of Meet the Press, several accomplished Cornellians will serve as a panel of questioners. This lively exchange will offer a better understanding of the global challenges — and the differences in how to engage them — that are “on the table” in the election of 2012.
