Dr. Nadia Drake presents: "From Our Place in the Cosmos to Spiders Behaving Weirdly: Tales from the Edge of Science Journalism"

Dr. Drake is a contributing writer at National Geographic, where she covers everything from planets to emerging jungle tribes. Before that, she was a science reporter at Wired, and an astronomy reporter at Science News. Her bylines have also appeared in Nature, New Scientist, and BBC Earth, among others. Nadia received her Bachelor’s degree and also PhD at Cornell. Her father, Frank Drake, was a Cornell astronomer who is well-known for the Drake Equation (suggesting that there MUST be many other forms of intelligent life in the Universe) and founding of SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence).
