Democracy and Dictatorship in Latin America: past and present

This conference aims at looking into the dictatorial heritage of Latin American countries and policies aimed at advancing human rights in the region. Keynote speakers include Grandmothers of Mayo Square, the Ambassador of Argentina in USA and representatives from the Brazilian MST movement. Debate sessions will be led by Cornell University and Ithaca College faculty.
