Join us for a screening of the film that launched a box office phenomenon and inspired thousands of young people to become paleontologists! What could possibly go wrong on an island of genetically-engineered dinosaurs? With special guest appearance by renowned paleoartist John Gurche, who will describe some of his experiences as a technical advisor for the first Jurassic Park movie in 1993.
Experience the wild world of evolution through our annual celebration of the life and ideas of Charles Darwin. Co-sponsored with Cornell University, Darwin Days’ events taking place the week of February 9-16 include a screening of “Jurassic Park”, several talks on Darwin, evolution, and living fossils, a panel discussion, a Darwin trivia night, and the Museum of the Earth’s annual Darwin Family Day.
