Out of Order: The Music of Re-Invention After Darmstadt; Andrew Zhou and Xak Bjerken, co-directors, with Walter Zimmermann, composer-in-residence.
Guest artist: Heather O’Donnell presents a solo piano recital featuring Zimmermann’s the missing nail at the river and Voces abandonadas, as well as works with and without electronics by Charles Ives (arr. of Three Quarter-Tone Pieces) and Oliver Schneller (…and tomorrow and Five Imaginary Spaces). as well as works with and without electronics by Charles Ives and Oliver Schneller.
Funded in part by grants from the Cornell Council for the Arts, Society for the Humanities, Institute for German Cultural Studies, Department of German Studies, and the Cornell Institute for European Studies.
Free and open to the public; no tickets are required.
