The Rose Ensemble. Reawakening the ancient through imaginative performances of vocal music and with historical instruments, the internationally acclaimed ensemble connects individuals to past worlds with stories of spirituality and humanity, and honors the musical legacy that has shaped the lives of real people throughout the ages and across cultures.
Program: Il Poverello - Exploring the Life and Deeds of St. Francis of Assisi - Hymns, motets, early Italian spiritual songs and readings celebrating St. Francis, the patron saint of animals and ecology known as il poverello (the poor one).
