Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 5:15pm

Johnson Museum of Art
Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, 114 Central Ave, Ithaca, NY 14853, USA

This series examines focused topics and current issues using specifically chosen works of art, with discussions led by special guests and Museum staff. Free and open to everyone!

In conjuction with the installation of IMAGINE PEACE by Yoko Ono, the latest flag in our ongoing exhibition Pledges of Allegiance, this conversation will look at works in the Museum's permanent collection that frame the topic of peace in both a historical and contemporary context.

Matthew Evangelista, the President White Professor of History and Political Science and director of the Judith Reppy Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies at Cornell, will lead the discussion. A video about John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s "Bed-Ins for Peace" will also be screened.

The Museum is open Thursday night until 7:30PM.
