containment: defining boundaries, activating outbreak

More dates through May 5, 2018

Schwartz Center for Performing Arts, Class of '56 Dance Theatre
430 College Ave, Ithaca, NY 14850, USA

Choreographed by Danielle LaGrua

A 40-minute dance concert, containment: defining boundaries, activating outbreak, explores the many ways one can be contained in a traditional performance setting. In a series of differing sections, this concert addresses how our own expectations and societal structures confine us to a certain type of performance. This predictability of stage performance provides inspiration for breaking out of our individual containment.
