City of Ithaca to Host Fireworks

The City of Ithaca will be hosting a new Community Fireworks Celebration at Stewart Park on Monday, July 2nd. The celebration will run from 6 to 10pm with the fireworks being launched at 9:45pm.
Live music and other entertainment will start at 6pm on the Ballpark Field at Stewart Park. Entertainment for the kids will include a bounce house, face painting, balloon animals, plus games and prizes. All are welcome to join in the picnic fun which is free and open to the public. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase with all proceeds benefiting the new fireworks fund.
Parking will be available at the Park and at the nearby schools. Donations can be received at these locations or in buckets located throughout the celebration.

The fireworks were very good. However, since many people didn't know the exact direction where the fireworks would be played there was chaos once the fireworks actually started. The trees obscured most views,..we had to move to a different place to see the fireworks. Nonetheless, it was spectacular.
