China-Africa Dispute Settlement: Law, Economics and the Culture of Arbitration

Won Kidane is a Fulbright Scholar and Associate Professor of Law at the Seattle University School of Law. He teaches and writes in the areas of international arbitration and litigation, international and comparative law, international investment law, and immigration law and clinic. Professor Kidane has published a comprehensive book on dispute settlement in China-Africa economic relations, The Culture of International Arbitration, released by Oxford University Press in March 2017. He is also co-author of Litigating War (with Sean D. Murphy and Thomas R. Snider, Oxford, 2013), and Global Issues in Immigration (West, 2013). He has also published numerous law review articles. Before joining the Seattle University Law School, he taught at Penn State Dickinson School of Law and earlier practiced law in Washington D.C. His practice focused on international arbitration and litigation. He continues to consult in these areas with law firms.
