Big Ideas in the Humanities: Mind

Monday, February 22, 2016 at 3:00pm to 4:30pm

Klarman Hall: Groos Family Atrium

In three recently published or forthcoming books (Making Things UpCreating Language, and The Intellective Space), Cornell faculty members Karen Bennett (Philosophy), Morten Christiansen (Psychology), and Laurent Dubreuil (Romance Studies) bring their own distinct perspectives and methodologies to bear on fundamental questions about the mind, its most distinctive and puzzling features, its relation to the brain, and what thought and language can tell us about who and what we are.

They come together for a panel discussion in the atrium of Klarman Hall to offer a tantalizing view into cutting-edge work on perennially compelling issues.
