Basic Camera, Beautiful Photos

Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 9:00am to 12:00pm

Join experienced nature photographer Paul Schmitt in the Herb Garden and then in the classroom to learn how to capture what you see using the digital camera. This introductory workshop is aimed toward those using simple cameras: from basic point & shoot designs to entry-level DSLRs. We will begin in the Herb Garden with instruction on how to create the best composition, avoid over- and under-exposure, and bring out your subject from the background.  Then, we’ll proceed to the classroom to learn simple tools for editing your photos so that the final image matches what you saw. Participants should bring their own digital camera. Class size is limited so that each student can receive individual attention.
