Dr. Danielle Wong, Asian American Studies, Cornell University

Danielle received her Bachelor of Journalism from Ryerson University, and her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in English from McMaster University. Prior to completing the Ph.D., she worked as a journalist for several Canadian news outlets, including The Hamilton Spectator and the Toronto StarShe has also published scholarly articles on race, new media, labor and immigration. Her teaching and research interests include race, gender, new media and concepts of “inorganic” Asianness. Danielle moved to Ithaca from Hamilton, ON, where she worked with her neighbors to organize anti-racist, housing justice and tenants coalitions. She is currently a Postdoctoral Associate in the Asian American Studies Program at Cornell.
