A Panel Conversation on "Punk: An Aesthetic"

Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 4:30pm

Kroch Library, 2B48
Olin Library, Ithaca, NY 14850, USA

Featured will be Cornell faculty members Jeremy Braddock, Tom McEnaney, and Judith Peraino, along with author and collector Johan Kugelberg. They will be joined by special guest speakers Jon Savage, the author of the ultimate book on punk history "England's Dreaming: Anarchy, Sex Pistols, Punk Rock and Beyond" and Greg Graffin, professor and punk rock musician, member of the Los Angeles band Bad Religion.

"Punk: An Aesthetic" was published in conjunction with the exhibit 'Someday All the Adults Will Die' Punk Graphics 1971-1984 at London's Hayward Gallery. A definitive survey of the art, graphics, and design inspired and influenced by the pre-punk, punk and post-punk movements, the book draws on private and public archives of rare material from around the world.
