“GM crops as catalysts for global development“ - Peter Gregory

Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 12:20pm

Emerson Hall, 135

Peter Gregory
Adjunct Professor

My primary focus is on addressing strategic issues at the interface of conventional agricultural research and modern biotechnology. Most of the work is international and ranges from country and regional strategy development and capacity building (including the creation of competitive grants systems) to the specifics of product-focused research, development and delivery - including technical, regulatory, marketing, intellectual property, and communication concerns. Some assignments reach well beyond plant breeding and biotechnology and address broader aspects of agricultural research and development. Teaching activities include undergraduate and graduate level instruction in plant biotechnology and genetics.

Research Focus

Catalyzing research, development and delivery of GM crops for developing countries.
